Forgotten doodles on the rear of the Virgin and Child with St Anne are discovered after the painting is taken down for restoration. They appear to be sketches of a skull, a horse's head and an infant Jesus with a lamb, mostly erased and undiscovered for 500 years. Tests are underway to discover the artist – but they display a "troubling similarity" with other Da Vinci works.
